Our neighbourhood

A day in Cali

From our house in San Antonio, one of Cali's oldest neighbourhoods, a lot is within reach. Our tips for a day in the city:

06:00

Up to Las Tres Cruces

Start early, while it's still cool, with the 400m climb to Las Tres Cruces. It takes about an hour, and from the top you look out over the whole city, among caleños doing their morning workout. Back down, have breakfast like a local: warm pandebono and buñuelos with a coffee.

16:00

San Antonio and salsa

Wander through San Antonio: colonial streets, small cafés and the white chapel on the hill. Locals gahter around the 'cuenteros', the open air comedians, a true Cali tradition, and dance salsa. Are you coming for salsa? Around our house many of Cali's salsa schools offer classes for beginners and experts.

22:00

Salsa night

Time to put those steps into practice: Cali has salsa bars for every level, from small local spots to big dance halls. Afterwards, San Antonio is a quiet place to come back to.
